Ps Andre Roebert – Renewing of the Mind (part 1)
There will be no change in any persons life if there is no change taking place in ones mind as well – renewing ones mind is the very first step in changing.
Probably the most important element in stepping up to a new level
If we cannot change the way we think we will not change anything in live
Gal 5: 16 – “walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh”
John 6: 36 – God’s Word is spirit – thus it cannot be understood in the natuaral – many think that praying in tongues are spooky (thinking in the carnal)
NOW, if you think with an old mind you will not step into what God has for you in 2010
Every time I attend a Sunday servcvie, midweek meeting, watch TBN/CTV, livestreaming +++ I am renewing my mind. If I renew my mind I will be able to change.
Rom 12: 1-2 be not conformed to this world, but … perfect will of God
Question: 1) “are we as the church saying what God says, but we as the church never do what we/God says? (hipocrate)”
2) “are our emotions leading us?”
Pls note, not everthing coming from the pulpet is accurate, test all Paul writes. To test something you must compare it with a manual, which in this case is the Bible.
Renewing my mind
• Changing my thoughts to what God’s Word say
• Changing my ideas to what God’s Word say
• Learning is not changing your mind
• Faith without action is dead, just sitting will not change my mind, my mind has to go into action
• Rom 8: 5 after flesh do things after flesh, if according to spirt you set your minds on spiritual stuff ------- what are you after?
If no changing of mind takes place we will continue to battle till Jesus returns
